Day Program
Every month after the business part and show and tell of the general meeting, we provide a quilting related presentation. This is in the form of a lecture, a "trunk show" of quilts, an informal talk, a demonstration of an interesting technique, or a hands - on workshop. These presentations are conducted by members of our guild or by professional speakers or teachers who have been hired by the program coordinators. There is no additional charge for these informative gatherings.
Most months, there are additional workshops available either after the presentation or later on during the month to members who sign up, for an additional fee. These are advertised early in the year. They are often full day workshops in which quilters will bring their own fabrics and produce a quilt or project which they take home to complete for themselves. The teachers for these workshops are either guild members or other professional teachers who come from out of town. The cost of these workshops is usually in the range of $10 - $70. Some projects are sewn by machine, some by hand. The program coordinators attempt to provide varying types of workshops to satisfy the varying experience levels, skills and interests of quilters.
