Outreach

Quilters are nurturing persons, who enjoy working together with a common goal to help others in need.

The outreach program brings members together to work on comfort quilts and pillow pals, to offer to the Women’s Shelter, for children in crisis, and to the cancer unit at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. We also prepare lap quilts for seniors in wheelchairs at local long term care centers. Major quilt projects have been made and used for fund raising activities, for various establishments such as the Beaconsfield Library, the Lakeshore General Hospital, or simply to make patients feel more at home at the Palliative Care Residence.

Outreach activities  take place at Centennial Hall on the last Wednesday of every month starting at 10:00 until after lunch. Members bring their sewing machines and ideas.
